Winemaker's Tasting Notes
A great example of Sonoma Coast Fruit. Showing all the attributes associated with this great growing region. On the nose you get a feeling you’re laying back and enjoying the ocean at your favorite resort somewhere in the tropics. Senses are taken over by tropical fruit and vacation is upon you. On the palette flavors of Guava, Mango, Banana, Pineapple, the only thing missing is a straw. The finish is to die for going on for minutes with great viscosity and bright clean acid making for a marriage lasting much longer than a Kardashian wedding. And did I mention 13.6% alcohol?Wine Advocate Notes: 92 Points
Greg Linn's 2009 Gap's Crown is a striking wine. Layers of tropical fruit emerge from a mineral laced frame in this explosive, multi-dimensional Chardonnay. The French OakBarrels (25% new) add volume and breadth without overwhelming the wine. This is a gorgeous showing from Greg Linn.
